Whitefish River First Nation hosting Memorial Walk

By Rosalind Russell – Whitefish River First Nation is hosting a Memorial Walk later this week, all part of Red Dress Day 2023.

The Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, Trans, and Two-Spirit Memorial Walk will start out with a Sunrise Ceremony this Friday at 6 am at 31 Wilson Street in Little Current.

The walk will follow at 8 am and everyone is invited to attend.

The goal of the event is to bring attention to the missing and murdered across Canada, the programs available to assist those directly affected and the wearing of red in remembrance of the missing or murdered women and girls.
