By Rosalind Russell – Despite the winter weather, the work is continuing at the newly named Roger’s Arena in Elliot Lake.
According to the news release, despite the winter weather arriving in Elliot Lake, crews continue to move forward with the structural repair work, which has now progressed to installing drilling test holes for micro piles.
Oncecomplete, crews can begin installing the micro piles as part of the structural support design.
Additionally, the construction teams are continuing with foundation work to support the building’s columns, and the roof rehabilitation is also ongoing.
The city has not provided a date for the reopening of the facility.
